A white cotton label in Japanese on the exterior of the tan canvas pack reads as follows:
1944 June 5th
Fujikura Aircraft Industries. Ltd
Used by marine paratroopers of the Special Naval Landing Forces (SNLF) during a drop for equipment such as mortars, machine guns and ordnance.
This is an ultra rare parachute used by some of the most fearsome Japanese troops during WW2. Captured by a USMC soldier named KOGER who painted his name on the bottom of the pack and brought it home as a trophy of war.
