Rare and very chic vintage 1950s tapered black wool slacks with clean pleats in front, sharp crease down the center leg and best of all - a horizontal brass zipper adjustment on both sides. It adjusts the waist up to 8". The pull is a hinge style piece that slides easily up and down the track then locks in place. It comes on and off the track very easily. There is a thin cotton tie in front, under the pant, to hold in place. As well as pockets within the overlap and short slits in the skinny ankle opening. We think these may have been intended as maternity pants..to be worn before, during and after the pregnancy. No labels, zipper hardware is marked Prentice. Circa 1950s.
